By Dead Space Remake in the works by EA
EA held it’s EA Play Live event yesterday, showcasing a number of upcoming games such as Grid Legends, Apex Legends Emergence, Lost in Random, Battlefield 2042, and finally, the Dead Space Remake.
Dead Space is a 2008 sci-fi survival horror classic that won numerous awards and is considered one of the greatest games of the genre. Even playing the original today shows that the game has aged well, even if a number of mechanics introduced by the game have been well used in games since.
Motive is handling the game’s development and the current plan is a rebuild of the game from the ground up. With the popularity of remakes such as Resident Evil, and Final Fantasy 7, this has the potential to be a great game. We just have to ignore or learn from some of the bad examples, looking at you Warcraft III.
